Paris/Rome/Florence Attraction Reservations

Are there any attractions that I should try to make reservations for other than the Duomo and the David?

Thanks!

I don't think you can make reservations for the Duomo in Florence, but you should definitely do so for the Uffizzi and David.
In Rome, reservations are required for the Borghese and for the Scavi Tour.
Not sure about Paris...

Have a great trip!

Just a quick update...I used Ira's info on making the Uffizi and Academia reservations...very easy, I was only on the phone 2 1/2 minutes.

Also, had a positive response from Borghese on email in less than 24 hours--and my reservations are only 2.5 weeks away. We went for the first tour at 9, figuring there'd be less crowds that way. Used reservation link found at http://www.galleriaborghese.it/borghese/en/edefault.htm

Just wanted to let everyone know they were both painless

That's great, Ebiddix!

I've seen Ira's directions with that phone # that you call at least a half a dozen times, and now I can't find them!

Any chance you would mind adding them to this thread?

thanks,
dina

OK, how far in advance do you need to reserve?

I'm going to Florence the last week in May.

Is there an online reservation site or do you have to do it by phone/fax?

I'm not sure on the timing...I think I just got lucky, since we are going a bit into off season, and I only called 12 days out. Good luck!

"Uffizi and Academia [Michelangelo's David] Museum Reservations
The easiest and cheapest way is to call Florence, 011 (U.S. international access code) 39 (Italy's country code) then 055-294-883 8:30-18:30 M-F and 8:30-12:00 Sat. Florence time. You will get an English speaking operator and in 2-3 minutes YOU CAN RESERVE FOR BOTH. This is through the reservation service at the Uffizi and costs beyond the normal entry fee only about 3 euro for the service. This is MUCH cheaper than the commercial booking services.
