paris riots 16th

I am a new poster, although a long tome avid reader. I am living in Paris with my husband and two children for the year. The 16 th. for now is quiet with nothing out of the ordinary. For those coming to Paris in the near future, I would stay clear of the affected areas, especially at night and take the Airfrance bus or a taxi into the city. Other than those minor arrangements, I would definately still travel to Paris, using appropriate caution as anywhere else.

I'm sure you are trying to be helpful, but I don't think anyone suspected or said there were riots in the 16th, and your post title is rather poorly worded and inflammatory, as if you are trying to get people excited. It makes it look like there are riots there. I would suggest you post such comments on the thread specific to this topic, although I don't think saying there are no riots in the 16th is really necessary as most tourists will not be spending there entire time in the 16th (most spend none).

Sorry. Yes really just trying to be helpful as I had read many threads from people wondering if they should continue plans to travel here. No, I don't believe anyone has said anything of the sort, rather I was trying to let people know that in most areas, business is as usual. Also I have read many posts from travelers who frequently rent apartments for their travels and guess what--thet're in the 16!!Juts trying to help--not inflame or pick a fight!

Ira,

Thanks! I actually knew about the main thread, but didn't quite know how to attach a post onto it--now I do! L.

>Weird. Why would that happen?

It was getting too political.
