Paris restaurant name?

A couple of years ago when we were in Paris, we ate at a small restaurant that I read about on a travel board. It was cold and gray in Paris, warm and inviting in this restaurant, and great food. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name, or exactly where it is. I know it was very near the Longchamp store on Rue St. Honore, but not the same street. It had no menu, but instead the waitress brought a small blackboard with today's menu on it. Does this sound familiar at all? We were there with our high school/college age daughters, and we while none of us were exactly sure what we had ordered, we each were sure that we had made the best choice! Thanks!

This might be a long shot, but maybe you can wander around the area at http://photos.pagesjaunes.fr and see if you stumble on it. Start at 404 st honore.

Are you planning to return? If so, you will able to find it again. Trying to remember the name is going to be very difficult.

It sounds like L'Ardois which is a wonderful (and always crowded) bistro at 28 rue du Mont Thabor. It's kind of hidden away back there and you have to get at it via Rivoli. It's not far from the Longchamp store you mentioned. It's a small, rather plain place but the food is remarkable. The waitress brings a blackboard to your table and it's a big menu.

I agree with rivoli. It sounds like L'Ardoise to me as well. Food is indeed very, very good!
