Paris Q - Eiffel Tower Skating Rink

Though this was talked about recently i think there was no definitive answer whether this year there is a skating rink on the 1st floor of the Eiffel Tower

anyone know for sure?

son and galfriend going to paris dec 31, 31 and want to skate there

also they want to dine up in the tower - any recommendations for the one at the top? Jules-Verne i think it may be called. Is it the only one in the tower. thanks

Jules Verne is the more expensive of the two Efifel Tower restaurants and usually requires reservations fairly far in advance, especially around the holidays. The other restaurant is Altitude 95.

Someone posted on TA that Jules Verne wasn't going to reopen until Jan or Feb, instead of Dec.

Not surprising: re-models are virtually never done on time. When it's a restaurant, I can only imagine what's involved.

No skating rink this year. An ice bar and arctic expo instead.

Details here: http://www.tour-eiffel.fr/teiffel/uk..._list.html?f=1

The skating rinks at Montparnasse and Hôtel de Ville will be in operation until March 2008, however.
