Paris or Venice New Years

This is my third time to Paris and because the rest of the family is coming I wanted to give them a few "tastes" of different areas.
Someone had recommend taking volare air which is a one hour flight to venice.
Another suggestion was to take a TGV train and go to Normandy.
Once again I am trying to cram in a lot in a short amount of time. I always like to try something new so I can decide if I want to revisit and spend more time.
Any suggestions?

I've spent NYE in Paris but not in Venice, so I can't compare. I did, however, break up a 3 week stay in Paris recently for a weekend in Venice and took volareweb. It was easy and enjoyable, and Venice was great, but be aware that a friend who took the same flight a few weeks before had a four and a half hour delay at Orly. If your trip or your patience is relatively short, you may not want to take this chance.
