Paris: Opera Garnier

We will be in Paris this weekend and would like to see a performance at Opera Garnier.
The website says there is a concert for young
artists the evening of Sun., Feb. 27th, but
tickets are not available by internet; my
attempts to reach the box office have been
fruitless - any suggestions? Thanks.

I would like to know too. I have been trying to get ballet tickets for April and I don't know if they are sold out or if the system is malfunctioning.

Is there a ticket outlet people can get tickets from?

Try FNAC on line. Maybe.

If they aren't sold online, I don't think FNAC is going to be selling them. I don't think FNAC actually sells many tickets from the Paris Opera, and think they might limit outside sales. They don't sell some of the cheapest tickets online, and some others for reasons I'm not sure of.

I would just go to the box office in Paris and try to get them there. I would think that kind of event (young artists) might have some available and not be sold out.

I don't know why ballet for April would be a problem, though, if it's a major production, unless it was sold out which is unlikely. It should give you some message. If it's one of those student productions, they don't sell those online, as far as I know.

I just checked again on the opera website and suddenly its working again. Anyway, apparently the ballet is sold out except for 2 days when I won't be there. I'm really surprised that midweek seats are sold out already. Apparently I underestimated its popularity, or the system is only half functioning.

Try the box office on the day of the performance. In the past I have been able to get tickets for "sold out" performances.
