My supervisor thought he would do us a favor this Friday morning and brought in Krispy Kreme. No contest at all, none. IMO of course.

Joan,
Which bakery is that? The one on the corner near your apartment? Fabulous pics. My scrambled eggs sucked.

NP,

You are in NC? Where? I am in Asheville..not at the moment..but when home!!

It is cloudy now..looks like it might shower.

Just got off the phone to friend in SC...free phone service here. She teaches French to some seniors, with high school French, and then plans some trips to France. She is putting one together and wants a Paris Perfect apartment for the group. Just picked out the Rully for her group. The layout for sleeping would be perfect!! She will do some looking when here in Dec.

I will post some pictures after Cafe Constant this evening...

a bientot.

Roberta,

Sorry about your scrambled eggs!!

I was down on rue du Bac and it was the Eric Kayser there. I could have had scrambled eggs there, too!

Lots and lots of boots!! Many stores have big sales on them, too!! Sales all over the place... I will think of you this evening when at Cafe Constant...

a bientot...

The google map ones are good, too. You can look all up and down the streets. Fun to play with...

I clicked the above too soon! I don't know where you are eating tonight, but my dinner was excellent!

The entree was artichoke and mushroom with some greens and light dressing...marvelous..The main was foie gras stuffed quail, mushrooms, small potatoes...delicious, delicious. That is an apple tarte.

I'm sure I have spoiled your dinner!!

Meals look delicious and slideshow works great.
Another nice thing about Google maps. You can save to "mymaps" It enables you to mark places of interest and a notes section on each. We are using it to help set itinerary for our December trip. Fun easy way to see what is close in each area to visit and where to stop and eat.
Hope you have nice weekend weather, Joan.

Great pics of the meal. Joan, you've really gotten the hang of this, right? So far, your "settling in" days are fabulous. Continue with the details, mon ami. Missing Paris...

Grace,

There are a number of them around Paris. I was in the 18 rue du Bac because I was in the area shopping.

Many other excellent ones. I will go to one that I like on St. Dominiqe this morning, unless I go to Cafe Constant or go to Florent's and chat with him....

I'm in no hurry this morning..looks partly cloudy. I think supposed to be chilly. Have not looked at temps, yet..

a bientot...

Bonjour,

I walked down to a nearby favorite spot for petite dejeuner..took a few pictures for you.

I then wandered down St. Dominique to various favorite places. I did stop and take a picture of a 'pile' of ceps!

I am going out later for afternoon tea!

Let's see what this looks like:

I was just about to have a pop tart, then I saw the pictures from your petit dejeuner- now I'm jealous, and starving!! I can't wait to get to Paris next month--I'm loving every minute of your report and taking notes. Thank you for sharing.
