Paris Museum Pass - expiration?
Can a Paris Museum Pass purchased in 2009 be used in 2011?
All I could find on the official website (FAQ) is:
Yes, you could purchase a PARIS MUSEUM PASS for example in January and use it only in July of the same year. The period of validity starts running as soon as you fill in the starting date of use on the back of the pass.
Thanks to anyone who knows!

Bad News: Paris Museum Passes used to be good forever (or rather, there was no expiration date). But that’s all coming to an end now, with passes good for one year. All formerly purchased tickets without an expiration date need to be used before June 30th, 2010. www.parismuseumpass.com

well, that's interesting to know, but I don't think it really matters to most people as the point of buying it is to use it. Now it does affect those trying to sell it for profit, so I think this is a good move, actually (the unlimited dates meant for-profit companies could buy and stockpile them and sell them abroad at a markup). One year is still a pretty long time, but cuts down on that a little. I believe they stopped accepted the old ones after a couple years, maybe 3-4.
Where exactly did you learn that they are only good for one year? I can't see that on the website. I haven't bought one recently, so don't know what the ticket looks like now, I know it didn't used to have an expiration date on it.

The website now includes this info:
Can I exchange my old PARIS MUSEUM PASS for the new version?
Old versions of the PARIS MUSEUM PASS were being exchanged free of charge until June 30th, 2010. Exhanges cannot be sought after this cut-off date.
Unfortunate for those of us with an unused pass!

Christina, again from the website (FAQ):
Why was I refused entry to the museum with my PARIS MUSEUM PASS?
The new PARIS MUSEUM PASS has been on sale since April 1st, 2010.
You may currently be in possession of the old version of the PARIS MUSEUM PASS that expired on June 30th, 2010.
I wouldn't call three months a long time.
