no, there isn't any monthly museum pass. The museum pass isn't really a budget item anyway, it it pretty expensive, it's only useful for those who really plan to visit a lot of museums as a tourist in just a couple days. A lot, not just one a day.
There is a monthly metro pass, I believe it is strictly from the 1st of the month, not 30 days. YOU can read about it on www.ratp.fr, it's called Navigo. It is 63 euro for the monthly pass (19 for the weekly) for zones 1-2. It's a reloadable card, so it's really for purchasing it for a month on the card, which you have to buy first for 5 euro (and you need an ID photo for it). One very nice thing is that for the monthly pass, you can use it for any zone you want on weekends and holidays even if you only buy it for 1-2 zones. They just started that deal. YOu can't do that with the weekly Navigo.

You should check out the Paris Museum Pass. You can purchase it for 2 days, 4 days, or 6 days. We purchased it for 4 days in August & thought it was worth it. The pass allows you to bypass long ticket lines. We walked right into the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Rodin, etc. I supposed the lines won't be too long in December, but for August anyways we thought it was worthwhile.
