Paris may 5 thru may 15th , 2018
Hello,
Have found these terrific hotel rates and AA flights for the dates of May 5 thru may 15th.
Are there holidays in those dates?
I like to visit museums and churches and historical sites. I remember my last visit during Holy Week and it was hard to find a Store open! (Fifteen years ago).
So, does anybody know why the rates are low...
Will check out museum hours. Are churches (outside Norte Dame) open all day? How about public transport?
thank you
susana

May 8 is V-E Day. May 10 is Ascension Day.
You haven't posted the hotels or the rates, so no one can comment.
Every church and museum in France has a website you can check for opening hours. Public transportation in Paris can be researched on https://www.ratp.fr/en

For Museums and Monuments, I'd use this site: http://en.parismuseumpass.com/rub-m-by-name-5.htm
You can select each museum or monument you're interested in from this site and it takes you to an informational page. IF that site has its' own website, the individual page gives you a direct link.

I have been there during that time period. There is nothing special about those days except as previously mentioned that May 8 is VE Day. On that date during the morning hours we saw celebrations taking place in Gare d’est and Gare Saint Lazare. Other stations probably have them too.
