Paris- Marais to Latin Quarter distance?
Hello,
I'll be staying in the Marais right next to the chemin vert metro station on line number 8. I will need to go to a place near St Placide metro station on line number 4 every morning for a month.
My problem in that the 8th line never crosses with the forth line, so what can I do to get to the St Placide station?
How long do you think it would take me to brisk walk every morning between these two spots?
any advice on what metro card to buy etc?

You can use the metro, you just have to plot out a route where you make a couple of changes.
You could take line 8 to Bastille and change to line 5 to Gare Austerlitz, then line 10 to Mabillon and walk a couple blocks.
You could again take line 8 to Bastille, change to line 1 to Chatelet, then line 4 to St Placide.
www.mappy.com says it will take about an hour to walk the nearly 4 kilometers between those points.
