Paris in early January
I'm planning a trip with my nephews and nieces (all adults now) arriving in Paris January 2 2009. If anyone is there January 2008, could you give please me a heads up as to what is opened and not right after the New Year. Thanks

I don't understand your question. Jan 1st is a national holiday, and there aren't any others in January, so things are open as usual after that one day. The only exception, would be things that are seasonal such as flower gardens -- for example, the gardens of Monet at Giverny outside Paris are closed during the winter.

I guess my question is how soon are things back to normal and it would seem that it's the very next day. I was expecting that some holiday hours might apply to museums and such. Thansk for your info.
