Paris Hotels--Packages?
Has anyone heard of any good packages or rates at Paris hotels at the end of Nov.? We will be there for 4 nights and there will be 3 of us. Our daughter who is 18 will be going with us. The cost of two rooms seems prohibitive. We'd like to find something around 300 Euros, and would like it to include breakfast. We'd also like a convenient location so we can walk to a lot of the sights, museums etc. I've never been to Paris and I know a lot of you are experts on it. I have read a lot of posts and I'm getting very confused. I think I need some advice!! Thank you so much. I look forward to your answers.

Someone posted a few days ago that she had gotten a triple at the Best Western Nouvel Orleans for a price of $82 USD/night. This was an Expedia booking. This is not a close-in hotel, but I think it's close to Metro Line 4.
The poster Beatchick has a post which lists budget hotels with triple rooms in Paris. Maybe take a look for that.
Consider this hotel: http://www.hotelmarignan.com (very convenient location)
In general, 75 Euros per night for a centrally located triple hotel room including breakfast is just about impossible. I would suggest looking at http://www.ibishotel.com as their rooms are often triples. However, based on my experience with Ibis elsewhere, the rooms and beds are miniscule. Three adults would not be comfortable in such a room.
Check these sites too:
http://www.venere.com
http://www.hrs.de
http://www.hotels.de (the German site often has deals the American site doesn't)
Also consider finding an economical hotel room for yourself and having your daughter stay in a hostel. She might welcome the chance for this sort of independence.

We( my wife, her sister, our grandchild, and myself) will be in Paris next week. We will be staying at the Pas de Calais which is right off blvd St Germain des Pres in the 6th (good for your family- in center of good area). Our cost for 2 rooms is about 300+ Euros per night. Check it out on <http://www.hotel-exclusive.com/hotel.../index.htm>

I'm sorry, I meant 300 euros/night. I'm not used to this, but will be more specific from now on. Thanks to those who have answered so far, and thanks Oberost for the tip about Pas de Calais. I'll check it out! I'm doing a lot of research today. We are traveling to Rome, Nice and Paris on this trip and Paris is the only place we don't have a room. I'll report when I get back.

You should easily be able to book a 3-star hotel in central Paris for 150 Euro per night and get 2 rooms! That way you can have a bit of privacy and 2 bathrooms. I have never used a package or service, but book directly with hotels myself. I liked Dacia Luxenbourg in the Latin Quarter www.dacialuxenbourg.com and it was in that price range.
If you use the "search" feature on this website and type in "Paris hotels" you'll find many of threads with lots of personal hotel recommendations in this price range.
One woman just returned and told us about several 40 Euro/night rooms she enjoyed just fine. I'm not suggesting that, but only that your budget is MORE than adequate to find two nice rooms, well located in Paris. Bon chance!

Hi
One person's simple hotel can be another person's bare bones Bates motel, so it's hard to advise.
In addition to the suggested list mentioned above, I'll suggest a few budget minded hotels that all get good comments here and at tripadvisor.com--I've considered them myself for my repeat visit coming up.
Cost for a triple, or better yet, two rooms, should be well under 300 euros.
All are well located, but the areas vary. All have elevators and private bathrooms, breakfasts are available, sometimes an extra charge.
Hotel Langlois
Hotel des Etats Unis Opera
Grand Hotel des Balcons ( a particularly good breakfast is often mentioned)
Hotel Bonaparte
Hotel St Jacques
All of the above have websites except the Bonaparte.
I have a long file on Paris; if you'd like to see it, email me at

I just checked the website and Dacia Lux has singles for 125e and doubles for 145e. Breakfast is not included in the price but is available, served in a small dining room downstairs from the lobby, I didn't check price for this but I'm sure paying for 3 breakfast plus these two rooms you'd be right at about the 300 you hoped for. It's located 2 blocks from the Sorbonne as a point of reference.

I agree with others, it is very easy to get a double room in Paris for 150 euro or less. Since your daughter is young, she might be perfectly satisfied staying in a single, also, which are a little cheaper than doubles usually. I've never spent that much myself on a room and stay in 3* hotels now typically.
There are a few Paris hotels that have discounts in November, but it's not that common so I wouldn't limit my search to them--other hotels without official discounts off their rates could still be a better deal and more what you want. I wouldn't worry about the breakfast thing, that's too restrictive as few hotels include breakfast in the rates (in reality, you are just saying you want that to be the total of your hotel and breakfast budget, which is no problem). Almost all hotels will serve a breakfast in the hotel if you prefer that, but it might not be the best meal you could buy that way.
