Hi - My b/f and I just returned from Paris two days ago. We're in our late 20's and have been to Europe several times before. Check out abbatial-paris-hotel.com. We stayed here and were very happy with the location in the Latin Quarter. I admit it is tiny - but it's clean and the front desk speaks English. We were about 3 blocks from Notre Dame - which is Paris' point zero. There are plenty of cafes, places to eat (mostly non-French cuisine), but most importantly you can get everywhere either by foot or by Metro from this spot.

We like the 3* Mansart, just off the Place Vendôme and actually sharing wall space with the Ritz. It's a charming old place, with antique furniture, spacious rooms, and pleasant staff. Within the same block are a pharmacy, a post office, and an ATM. The hotel has a lot of regulars; so book well in advance.

Hi Sprenkle when are you going? I am going for Thanksgiving weekend.

A friend who lived in Paris suggested this hotel hotel to me few years ago. It was his favorite and where he stayed when ever he traveled into Paris. I thinks it four star,253 euro for a standard. I guess if you are looking for affordable swank.
http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ic/...2/pt?ptLink=hd Intercontinental Paris its in the 1st.

I am lookin on www.venere.com. I have had good experiences finding CHEAP digs with them in Florence but they will show you 1 to 5 star hotels all over Europe. They provide a helpful review page for most hotels. Check out fodor's editor suggestions here too in the Hotel section.

Last, check trip advisor for reviews also. I am now starting to see photos taken by tourists.

Let me know what you come up with.

Good luck

Hotel Mayfair and the Mansart Hotel are both nice. But are they in your budget range sprenkle81?

Please do state what your hotel budget is.
