Paris Hotel- HELP last minute availability

Trying to get a hotel in the area of the 6th or 7th, for around 100 Euros. But now it can be just about anywhere!! I know, I know...i should have booked earlier....don't ask.. Anyway..I have struck out on 4. So far no availability at Hotel Varnuiel, Hotel Therese, Hotel Britannique, Victoria Chatelet. Any other comparable hotels i can try.

What dates do you need? I have no knowledge of the hotel Sansonnet (found it while surfing) but it's in the 4th and the price is right http://www.hotel-sansonnet.com/situation.html# hopefully if it's awful some one will say so.

Also try the Flor Rivoli http://www.hotel-paris-florrivoli.com/English/Main.htm I have not stayed there but walked by it last October - good location in the 1st (13, rue des Deux Boules). I don't know what "last minute" is, but they do have rooms for this Friday, a double is 80 Euros. You can plug in dates on line for "real time" availability.

Dosu, I haven't been to the following hotels but they were on our short list. Prices are for doubles:
Grand Hotel des Balcons, 6th, www.balcons.com E100
Hotel Residence Monge, 5th, www.hotelmonge.com E95.
We're staying at the Hotel Saint-Jacques, 5th, www.hotel-saintjacques.com E112.
Good luck!
Linda

Although I have not used lastminutetravel.com I have checked their offerings periodically and alot of the hotels are reputable, many that have been discussed on Fodor's as well. I think that would be the easiest. Maybe if you do find a few that you like on lastminutetravel.com, you can email the hotels directly for rate information and personalized service.

You may want to give it a try.

Try laterooms.com and lastminute.com (different than lastminutetravel I think). You can search by arr. & date availability to save time. When you find something available that's interesting post back. Good luck.

www.venere.com lists lots of hotels in paris, and allows you to search by dates.

Also:

If you're willing to compromise on location, consider Priceline. But I'd only try the St. Germain - Latin Quarter - Montparnasse zone. You should be able to come in well under your limit. See http://www.betterbidding.com and http://www.biddingfortravel.com .

I don't know how "last minute" you need, but I was able to book Hotel Bonaparte 3 weeks in advance of my April stay. You can find the phone/fax nos. on this site. Good luck.

The other site I also recommend:

http://www.accorhotels.com

If you find a hotel of interest, click all the way through and try your dates, because some good rates often show up that way that you can't get otherwise.

Thanks, for all your replies... the dates i need are May 15th and 16th. If anyone happens on a nice hotel that's available.. let me know. I don't mind paying more than 100euross.. up to maybe 150 or so.

Dosu, In the 5th near the Cluny Museum is a 2* hotel larger than most called Hotel Le Home Latin,15 et 17 rue du Sommerard, tele: 01.43.26.25.21 we stayed there two years ago, they were able to give us four rooms and they seemed to be able to offer last minute reservations. I love the area so would recommend it to you. The hotel is nothing fancy but it would be comfortable and I would think the price for a double would be in your price range. Good luck, Deborah

I have stayed twice a the Grand Hotel des Balcons and have been happy. Clean rooms and friendly staff - some street noise if you are on that side of the building. I think last year it was 100 Euro for a double. Great breakfast buffet! And added bonus - an ice machine off the lobby!

Such drama brewing...I am sitting on the edge of my seat...I MUST know if you found a room and where you have decided to stay. Forget about soap operas. This is soooo much more fun. LOL!
