Paris Hotel

After MUCH research, we have decided on the Hotel du Champ de Mars in the 7th. Need recommendations on specific room numbers from anyone who has stayed there. Size, view, quiet - any suggestions?

Try to avoid room #1, which is right behind the reception desk (but otherwise fine).

Many of the tour guides (Margo's, Sandra Gustafson's) describe the rooms in detail. It's a very popular hotel, though, and the best rooms are booked well ahead. Advantage of room #1 is not having to haul your luggage upstairs.

From what I have heard, rooms 2 and 4 are the best as they have their own private courtyards. I am going to Paris next month and staying here. I'll post my review for you when I return.

Rooms 2 and 4 are definitely the best. I booked in March for October and didn't get either one. I definitely prefer the Muguet or the Grand Leveque over the Champs de Mars.
