Paris help for 30th wedding anniversary

I am starting to plan a 5 day trip to Paris to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in May, 2017.
I have never been to Paris and need suggestions for a hotel and a restaurant where we can have a special dinner on the night of our anniversary. We prefer boutique hotels. We also don't want a fancy, expensive meal, just someplace romantic and memorable.

Thanks for any suggestions!!

Congratulations on your milestone wedding anniversary. Paris is certainly a wonderful city to celebrate in.

There are lovely boutique hotels all over the city. The ones I am familiar with are located in the 6th arr. that's my favorite area.

You didn't mention a budget for your hotel and that would help. A few suggestions I have for you without knowing your budget.

You didn't mention your hotel budget but, here are several nice boutique hotels to consider:

Hotel d'Aubusson in the 6th: http://www.hoteldaubusson.com/en/

Relais Christine in the 6th: http://www.relais-christine.com/

Pavilion de la Reine in the 3rd: http://www.pavillon-de-la-reine.com/en

Restaurants....no shortage of wonderful places to dine in Paris. There are lots of charming spots on isle St Louis. I think the word romantic is a bit hard to define but feel sure that any place can be romantic, so I will just list a few favorites that might work for you.

We really enjoyed Allard last time we were in Paris. Bistrot Belhara is also a favorite. Verjus is has amazing creativity and a fixed price menu that is very well priced. You might take a look at the Paris by Mouth website. They have all kinds of restaurant lists and may have one for special occasions or "romantic".

We've stayed at the Relais Christine twice and loved it. Elegant hotel in a wonderful, quiet location. There are lots of cafes nearby, and we also really enjoyed Allard which is around the corner.

Might help if you have a place you'd like to stay (in the cneter, close to Eiffel tower, Arc de Triomphe, in outer arrondissements etc.

I like to recommend 'montmartre mon amour' for example, close to sacré coeur.

Le Train Bleu looks beautiful, located in the hall of the Gare de Lyon railway station in Paris.

I heard about this hotel after our last trip to Paris. Close friends had a great stay and recommended it highly.

Hotel Francois 1er

The Francois' "other" hotels look interesting too.
