One of things she definitely should do is visit rue Oberkampf in the 11th arrondissement, a very trendy night venue for youngsters. Ground zero of young Paris cool, or it least it was just a few years ago. There is music at the Cithea, and Cafe Charbon, where the whole large scene started is across the street. Another thing you should both do is stop by and see us! [email protected]

As a pre-graduation present, I'd suggest one of the Paris guidebooks written by young people for young people. The Time Out guide to Paris is the best one I know.
