Ira,
Can you tell us what the website you're referring to is? Thanks!

Since loci asked about the Bateaux Mouches, I am assuming that is the web site Ira is suggesting. that is the name of a company and they have a web site. I think another cruise company also is doing a special NY thing, maybe Vedettes de paris, but there was another thread on this.

I wasn't aware Batobus ever had dinner or did anything for NY eve, as it's just a city public transportation boat.

If you just want to enjoy a festive dinner and champagne over New Year's Eve, you should be fine. BUT you will be weather dependent. We were in Paris for NYE a couple of years ago and it was rainy with THICK fog. You could barely see any of the fireworks, either from the bridges (where we were standing) or the boats (where some other guests in the hotel had been--the next day at breakfast we heard them saying they saw very little from the boats, but they had a good time anyway).

Christina, Of course, you're right! Sorry about that, guess I just read it fast and my brain skipped right to batobus.
Anyway, try www.bateaux-mouches.fr
