Paris for 3
Soooo frustrating.... everytime you serach for availbility for 3 adults in one room in chain type hotels... it gives you a list of available hotels for those 3 people, but....when you get through the winding process of adding dates etc it states those rooms only fit 2 people, why have them in the search results...aaahhhh.... okok time for bed... ...
night

I lived in Switzerland and my mother and sister are coming over to visit in May. We are going to Paris and we opted to rent a one bedroom apartment instead of a hotel because for about the same price, you have far more room.
You are right about the size of the rooms. One time two friends came from the US to visit and we stayed in a hotel that added a roll-away cot and we had to actually step ON the beds to get around the room. Not very convenient when you needed the toilet in the middle of the night!

Which "chain type" hotels have you been trying?
Three adults in one bedroom in a Parisian hotel is not a good idea. The third bed is very uncomfortable most places and a real squash! What you should consider is an interleading second bedroom.
We experienced this at the Best Western
Elysees-Maubourg, 35 Blvd.de la Tour Maubourg, but it may not be a Best Western hotel now. Here is the old fax number: 47.05.65.08

Many, but not all, of the Accor hotels have space for 3. We booked a Suitehotel in Montreuil (on the periphique) for 53E for a 3-day weekend. Many of the Novotels and some Mercures (Accor hotels) have rooms for 3. And there is Etap, if you really aren't picky and don't mind staying on the outskirts.

It depends if you are looking for 3 single beds or if 1 double bed and 1 single bed are enough... you should give up your search by chain hotels and see reservation websites like nyceParis;com or venere
Anyway 1 triple room is far much cheaper as 1 double and 1 single room...
