Paris CDG Transfer from Terminal 2E to 2F
We have a connecting flight at Paris CDG, arriving from the States in terminal 2E and must transfer to a domestic flight leaving from terminal 2F. How long will it take us to transfer? Must we take a bus or other transport to 2F or is it walkable? Upon landing in Paris must we retrieve our luggage and then go to next terminal? We have about one hour and 30 minutes between flights. I haven't been to CDG in years so please enlighten me with the transfer situation.

You may have a look at

If your luggage is not checked through, you will need much more time.

Terminal 2E and 2F are right across from each other - you shouldn't have to take a shuttle, but you should double-check the terminal map on CDG or Air France's website to be extra sure. I'm pretty sure I had a similar connection, and it was very quick - there's a separate border control line for people with connecting flights which (usually) isn't nearly as hectic or long as the lines you would go through when entering the airport. In fact, I pretty much breezed through. I can't guarantee it will be the same for you, but it definitely wasn't too bad at all.
I rarely check bags anymore so someone else should correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if the trip is all booked on the same ticket, you won't have to get your bags from baggage claim. If you booked on separate tickets, then that changes this whole calculus, as you'll need to exit the terminals to claim your bags and re-enter through the main airport entrance, in which case an hour and 30 minutes might be cutting it pretty close...

I did just this 3 months ago. My luggage was checked through from overseas to my final destination (Marseille) and you do not retrieve it in Paris, it will be forwarded automatically - no worries. As mentioned, 2E and 2F are just next to each other, a very easy and short walk. Going through customs was quite efficient, in our case we landed early morning local time (around 7 AM I think). Lines were not very long and moved along, maybe a 10-15 minutes delay at most. Not sure how this would be at other times of the day. If your connecting flight is on a single ticket (as ours was), I would not be overly concerned. The main issue would be the punctuality of your inbound flight to CDG.

If your flights are on a single ticket, your luggage should be checked through. If your first flight arrives late, your airline will put you on a later flight at no charge to you. If there are no later flights that day, they should put you up at a hotel and give you meal vouchers.

Whatever the semantics, I did not have to go through anything at all at my final destination and disembarked with my fellow passengers and retrieved luggage with them on the same carousel and walked out. Absolutely nothing additional after processing at CDG. I wonder if this may perhaps be different for certain EU countries, for ex if my onward flight was to Spain/Italy/?

You almost certainly did go though Customs at your final destination. For most travelers Customs is pretty much a 'non-event'. You merely walk through an exit marked 'Nothing to declare' or similar

@Kanadajin, a lot of folks think Passport Control/Immigration are the same thing as Customs when they are not. At my home airport they are near enough to each other. And yes, your entire plane probably went through Customs at the final point before exiting the Airport. It is so quick that most travelers may not realize they are going through it. I had a SIL who was SO worried about going through Customs in the UK. It took me ages to figure out she was worried about Passport Control.
To the OP - when is your trip? CDG does have their terminal map on their website. It is not as interactive at some airports but I find plugging in my flight numbers ahead of time (say for flights this week) give me a general idea of what route to take and such. I believe the website states it should take about 35 minutes between the two.
I will be doing this myself in about a month. More worried about my flight home as I will be doing this in reverse with what I consider to be a tight connection.

I used to avoid traveling through CDG no matter the cost, but my flights were cancelled at the last minute last year and I was left with almost no choice. Turns out they've finally gotten their act together in that airport. So, from my notes last year and this year, for what it's worth:
March 2023 - going from 2F to 2E on my return to the States took about 20 minutes walking with a damaged foot, including passport control, no shuttle bus needed.
March 2024 - going from 2E to 2G was accomplished in just under 1 hour including walking, air train, walking, immigration or customs, security, and shuttle bus. Not bad. On the return, went from 2F to 2E including shuttle bus and passport control in under 30 minutes.
I'm guessing the reverse - 2E to 2F - would be similar time frames. My trips were both on single tickets, with a checked bag which didn't have to be dealt with at all at CDG. Hope this helps someone.

Connecting 2E to 2F in Paris CDG
Just did this. Left Vancouver (YVR) on January 14, 2025 for Malaga (AGP) via Paris (CDG). We were on a single Air France booking and our luggage was checked through to Malaga. We had1 hour and 5 minutes to make our connection. Our flight arrived into Terminal 2E, 10 minutes early, at 7.50am on a Wednesday morning. Our connecting flight to Malaga was from Terminal 2F (gate F30) at 9.05am. It took us 30 minutes to make the connection walking at a comfortable pace. There was NO security check or customs check required in Paris. There was, however, an automated passport check for participating counties such as Canada and the US. Once we arrived in Malaga our luggage arrived at a different belt (for travelers who had checked in their luggage outside the EU) and we went through customs clearnance there.

Terminal E consists of 3 different terminals K L and M, connected by an automated train.
So, transfer between E and F will depend on the arrival gate.
for sure, there is a footbridge between L and F. K is directly in front of F. I guess that arriving in M, you would have to ride the train

in such case, you and your bags will be checked in to your final destination.
MCT to sell online connections is 1h. Meaning that 1h30 gives you plenty of time to connect if your flight is not heavily delayed.
if delay, you and your bags will be reaccomodated on the next flight. Most domestic destinations are served with many flights per day.
