Paris CDG to Ternes
I plan on purchasing the Paris Visite Pass for 5 days at CDG upon arriving around 6am local time the morning of June 30th. How do I get from CDG using this pass to arrive at the Ternes metro station (8th arrondissement)?

You don't want to use the Visite to get from CDG into the city. Doing that would require buying a zone 1-6 pass, and all you need to gad about touristic Paris is the much cheaper (28.90 versus 49.40 euro) zone 1-3 pass.
If you want to train from CDG to Ternes just buy an RER ticket at the same time you buy your pass. Use it to take RER B to Chatelet Les Halles and transfer to RER A to Charles deGaulle Etoile, from there walk up Av de Wagram to the nearby Ternes. You could also transfer at CDG Etoile to Metro line 2 (direction Nation) and ride one stop to Ternes, but doing that probably involves as much walking as just hoofing it up Av Wagram.

I was just researching this same last week as we also need to make the same trip very soon. Another alternative is to take the AirFrance bus to Charles deGaulle Etoile, (instead of RER)which is right by the Arc De Triomphe, you are then only 1 metro stop from Ternes. Several posts in this forum have positive comments on the bus from the airport. Below is a website with some information about the AirFrance coaches.

That's a good option, too, turnip2. We have used the AF bus in the past and it worked out well. Cost for CDG-Etoile on the AF bus is 15€ one way or 24€ for R/T - more than the 8.40€ for O/W RER, but more comfortable and less wrangling luggage.
