Paris Botin Overrated?

Is the famed Paris Botin restaurant overrated or fairvalue? I'm always nervous about places that proclaim to be the oldest etc. and have citations in Hemingway novels and, well, you know.... But maybe it is all it's cracked up to be. Is there only one -- the Sobrino Botin? Any advice on rooms, times, reservations, hints etc. Thank you.

Luis, I had the same reaction as Patrick. As far as I know, the Botin restaurant is in Espana.

I will also claim to be confused.

I have eated at Botin which is the oldest know continuously operating restaurant and Hemingway dined at frequently. It is in Madrid and I don't think it's overated at all.

Stick with the specialties, enjoy the incredible atmosphere and history. Make reservations in advance by phone (3-5 days depending on the season).

Hmmm, Luis asked the same "negative" question a few weeks ago & got a load of very positive comments back then!
If you're not just a troll, do a search on the word Botin & a bunch of threads on the subject will appear.
