Loved it! With our carte orange we got a discount on the 2-day unlimited pass. One night we got on at Hotel de Ville and rode the whole 'loop', the second night we got on after being at the d'Orsay and rode back to the stop closet to our hotel. We didn't use it so much for pure transportation as we did for a boat cruise! Boat was clean, quiet, and you could ride without someone screaming out the sights as you passed the beautiful buildings.

A one-day pass for Batobus costs about the same as the sightseeing cruises, as far as I can remember. If your time is short, or you just want to do a quick cruise to see the sights, you might as well do the sightseeing cruise. If you want to explore places by the river, the Batobus is a good way of doing it. They give you a booklet describing the sights and places of interest near the landing stages. The boats are similar in character, most having under-cover seating and open deck space, but the boats doing the sightseeing cruises are generally bigger.

Some of the boats don't run until April, but according to their website, the Bateaux Les Vedettes du Pont-Neuf starts in March. They're located next to the Pont Neuf bridge. The morning and afternoon one hour cruise is 9 euros, and the evening (after 8 p.m.) is 10 euros. We'll be in Paris next week, and I was able to print out a 2 euro discount coupon, which we will use. The coupon can be found at http://perso.wanadoo.fr/lesvedettesd.../reduction.htm if you're interested.
