Paris Apartment (again)

Thanks for prior responses; plans have shifted: will be in Paris 7-20 November 03, and want a comfortable apt. for under $900. USD per week. Wish list to include low floor if no lift, washer/drier, and separate but equal beds for two adults, non smokers. For this trip price is more important than location. We are very familiar with the city. Thanks so much. AntBee

Dear Aunt Bee,
Don't you need an extra bed for little Opey? Or is he staying home in Mayberry?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Patrick, Very Funny!?! But let's focus our energy on finding a great deal on an apartment. One that would allow me to put one of my famous apple pies on the window sill to cool. And if you MUST know, I'm secretly meeting Earnest T. Bass. So there!

Sorry. I would help if I could, but the budget is lower than any NICE apartments I've come across that also meet the other criteria. Your flexibility in location should really help you out, but I've never researched much out of the 5th and 6th.

Patrick: Thanks for responding; I have been reading the description from your recent trip and will certainly try some of your Parisian resturant suggestions. I'm hoping that something will turn up apt. wise for under 1k in November, that's a deal, since it's off season, the euro is strong, fewer Americans traveling (either too broke or too 'bushed'). I can't wait for a change of scene, found a fabulous place last December for two weeks, but alas, not available for my planned dates this year.
In May 2001, I took the ferry across Lake Geneva to Lausanne, and then on to Zermatt, then to Brigg, etc. great trip. Regret that I missed Montreaux. Have longed to go to the Jazz Fest.

At Rentparis.com there are apartments within your price range. I stayed in one slightly above your range and really enjoyed it. There are discounts for longer stays.

I had a very good experience with rentparis.com, if you can find that they have something in your price range.

antbee, I have used A Parisian Home for budget rentals many times and have been very happy with their services. Check their website at www.aparisianhome.com.

Your budget is a little low but not impossible. I've also seen things in that range on the sites mentioned above, and have had personal good luck with www.locaflat.com and www.barclayweb.com They might have something in your range.

www.franceforrent.com specializes in nonsmoking apts and they do have one that looks fairly nice for $990/week near Mouffetard area, which is great. Only thing is it has only a double, not twin beds.
