Paris apartment

Hey friends - I need a 2 bedroom large and nice apartment in Paris in November. I know parisperfect has got a great reputation, but are a little expensive. Any other suggestions? We are taking friends who have never been before (can you imagine!)

Hi,

The 2 bedroom apartment is going to be a bit expensive - I am seeing rates for about $3700 for a week with airport transfers and breakfast. It is near to the Arc de Triomphe and Trocadero, along with boutiques and traditional markets.

You might consider doing a 1 bedroom with space for up to 4 people because prices drop almost 50%???

Best Regards,
Julia

Add this one to your list:

parisvacationapartments.com

We rented from them and were more than pleased.

You just have to look at some of the web sites, such as those above. A few others I think can be reasonable (chezvoous may be the most expensive of these) are:

www.drawbridgetoeurope.com
www.francehomestyle.com
www.paris-sleeps.com
www.rentinparis.com
www.chezvous.com
www.locaflat.com
www.aparisianhome.com

What exactly do you want to spend? Someone might have suggestions if you were more specific. I know Parisperfect is expensive and too much for you, so what is your budget? You know a true 2-bedroom vacation rental is not that common, but I think www.rentinparis.com has a couple nice ones around the Sorbonne (on rue Victor Cousin). They are cheaper than Parisperfect, and one even has two bathrooms and is a split-level (it's a little cheaper than Parisperfect's cheapest 2 BR one, and a little larger). They have a cheaper 2BR one at only 250 euro per night.

Howver, Parisperfect has considerable discounts in November when you want to go (I don't know about rentinparis, they don't say) and then their cheapest 2 BR drops from $442 a night to only $319. Right now, that is only about 240 euro and you are not going to get a large and nice 2 BR vacation rental for a lot less than that, if any less, I bet, in a good location.

But good luck looking, you might get lucky.

we found an apartment for what appears to be a great price, 1600 for a week. The apartment is 2 bedrooms on the Palais Royale. It is with Parisvacationapartments.com. Has anyone had an experience with them?

To add to the growing list you can try looking at http://www.yourparishome.com/

My relatives rented a Montparnasse apt. here and they found it to be an excellent experience from beginning to end. In fact, they are thinking of returning to the same apartment. It's the one located on Ave. Rene Coty (apt. #8 that's shown on the website).

And here's a nice collection of some of the largest, most comfortable looking, and nicest decorated but not outrageously priced ones I've seen, but no personal experience with them:

Yes, parisvacationapartments were great. We paid in $$$ to an address in Massachusetts. They were very responsive, made restaurant reservations for us, and were available whenever we needed information. I would definitely stay with the again.
