Paris and Italy
Hi,
i am planning a 10 day trip tp paris and italy. Few things i wanted to know about.
Would you be able to suggest some good bed and breakfast places in paris, rome and venice .
Secondly how about travel from rome to venice? If i wish to drive then what are the places i can rent a car from ? How much is the travel time ?
And whats the best place that u wud like to suggest to get the flavour of the country side in italy?
Help much appreciated.

For Paris Rome and Venice the best way to travel is on planes and trains.
Fly open jaw into Paris or Rome and home from the other. This will save you the time of backtracking - 10 days isnt very long and I would pick 2 of the 3 places but I like to spend less time travelling and more time in the places I am.
Fly Paris to Venice (check www.whichbudget.com for cheap flights - watch out for strict luggage restrictions and weight) and then train Venice to Rome. You can buy your train ticket once in Venice.
A car will be a hinderance in the cities. Also it will take too long to drive from Paris to Venice (think 1+ days) and there are very large drop off fees to rent in one country and drop in another (think hunderds of $$).

There are very few (if any) B&Bs in Paris. I suggest you stay in hotels which are plentiful. In Italy breakfast is usually included with hotel/pension rooms so you could stay in those in Italy rather than try to find B&Bs. You can do a search here or check guide books. You have not specified a budget amount so it's difficult to suggest anything.

You can check AutoEurope for car rentals although why would you want to drive when it would be easier and cheaper to take the train, relax and look at the scenery.
Drive times can be found on these sites:
viamichelin.com
mappy.com

Hi P,
>Would you be able to suggest some good bed and breakfast places in paris, rome and venice .<
As noted, you want small hotels.
In Venice, consider http://www.alcampaniel.com/ and http://www.hotelbernardi.com/en/
In Rome, we very much liked http://www.hotelmaikol.com/
For Paris, take a look at http://www.hotelbonaparte.fr/
http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/en....php?langue=en
http://www.uk.les-jardins-du-luxembourg.com/
>Secondly how about travel from rome to venice?
www.trenitalia.com, also for Rome to Paris.
>If i wish to drive then what are the places i can rent a car from ?
I wouldn't, but you could rent from www.kemwel.com before you go.
>How much is the travel time ?
(In English we would ask "How long is the travel time"?)
See www.viamichelin.com or www.maps.google.com
>And whats the best place that u wud like to suggest to get the flavour of the country side in italy?<
You are rushing your visit to Venice, Rome and Paris. You don't have time for anything else.
You might wish to visit Orvieto from Rome.
I suggest flying into Venice, taking the train to Rome and another train to Paris before flying home.
Enjoy your visit.
