Paris & daytrips, new itinerary, please advise

I've been struggling with the time frame and the travel times, so here is what I've come up with:

Tue, arrive Paris
Wed, Paris
Thur, morning Giverny, evening Paris
Fri, Paris
Sat, Daytrip to Caen and D-Day beaches, by Cityrama; "This tour includes: Caen - visit to the Memorial-Peace Museum. Lunch (drinks included). Pointe du Hoc (stop), Omaha Beach: Saint-Laurent (visit of around one hour to the American Cemetery), Arromanches (stop), continue on to the Landing beaches of Gold, Juno and Sword. Stop on the way back to Paris."

Sun, Paris
Mon, morning travel to Amboise, see 1 chateau
Tues, chateau
Wed, see chateau or leave directly for Paris in the morning, afternoon & evening in Paris
Thur, flight to Cincinnati

I understand there will be so much we are missing, but we would be more comfortable staying put in Paris and visiting the D-Day sites this way, which is my husbands primary concern. At the end of the trip, we can decide to spend more time travelling in the country or most of the day back in Paris.

I appreciate any further advice. I'm trying to solidify the itinerary so I can make appropriate hotel reservations.

Thank you again for your time & have a great weekend!

Hi E,

Looks like a nice visit. When are you going?

>Wed, see chateau or leave directly for Paris in the morning, afternoon & evening in Paris
Thur, flight to Cincinnati<

It is one of my axioms to spend the night before a flight home in the city from which the flight departs.

Looks like a nice plan to me!

ira, I think she's planning to spend the night before her flight in Paris. She goes back to Paris on Wednesday and has a flight home on Thursday, if I'm not mistaken.

Well, I am boooked at Hotel du Pantheon for 6 nights, avg 160E/nt. Then Le Manoir les Minimes for 2 nts, 170E/nt.

I still need a place the night before we leave. Maybe close to Eiffel and easy access to CDG? But, still deciding on getting tickets to Roland Garros. Any suggestions of hotel near there with access to CDG?

Thank you for your time & Have a great weekend!
