Stay near CDG/Paris
Can anyone recommend an area or town to stay the night before flight out of CDG. We don't want to stay in Paris but would like somewhere quaint enough to spend the previous afternoon and evening. TIA

For precisely the same purpose, we stayed in a lovely farmhouse B+B (38 EUR)in Chaingy, along the Loire, just west of Orleans. It was a good choice.
We explored nearby Beaugency and Meung that evening. We hopped on the A10 in the morning and arrived at CDG in 2 1/2 hours (we hit a jam at the peripherique), with plenty of time for our 1:15 flight.
Post back if you'd like the specifics.

Several times we haved stayed in the lovely medieval town of Senlis that is maybe 25-30 miles north of CDW. It is also close to the chateau of Chantilly. Search on this site for more information about hotels in Senlis.

Hi,
We stayed in Verielle before our 2:00p.m. flight from CDG. It was a Sat. night the fountains were on and lit up. It is a nice town to walk around in and when you turn the corner and see the chateau, you are always surprised. Isn't it huge? If you have been then a few times before, then it might not be for you. I enjoyed it and did not feel like I had to go insde, as I have done that before. It took us 45 minutes on a Sunday to get to CDG. Have fun.
