Paris Airfare Bargain?

Just booked 2 r/t tickets from SFO to CDG. Total cost for 2 was $972. Used Priceline's LowestFare.com - no bidding just straight purhase. Leaving on Delta on May 16 returning non-stop Air France on June 3rd.

How's that work? On the same site, I just priced a PDX - CDG roundtrip leaving Sept. 23 returning Oct. 2: $963 each. Guess I need to move to the bay area.

Delta's doing a sale, or just did. I suspect you might have even gotten it even cheaper direct from Delta. But those fares change hourly.

beachbum - It's too early to count on finding sales for that time of year. If you find one, jump on it. But otherwise, don't despair. There's no reason to think that in a few months you won't find a great deal!

Either you missed it beachbum - - or it might not have extended as far forward into the future as you need.

I have not read of getting these bargain fares today with travel dates in October. So keep your fingers crossed that a repeat deal this good is still possible for after Labor Day dates.

Best wishes,

Rex

Regarding the Delta sale, I booked two tickets to Barcelona this morning for $408 each on Orbitz (DCA-BCN-DCA, 6/29-7/12). Had family book for the same dates from SFO-BCN for around $450. When I checked on the Delta site (prior to booking with Orbitz) these fares were not available. It seems that this sale is no longer available, for now...

So, you're all suggesting I pass on the $710 per that I can confirm today?
