Paris Accomodations

Bonjour,

Recently my sister, daughter-in-law, granddaughter and I stayed a week in a lovely apartment in Paris. We were so pleased to find a place that exceeded our expectations. Check out ParisPerfect.com. You will not be disappointed - what you see is what you get! The view from the Romanee is exactly what the owners promote. What a special experience! We can't wait to return. The neighborhood, shops, view and special tips and instructions from the owners were invaluable in making this a trip we will never forget.

Glad you enjoyed the apartment, it has been praised here before & others have been pleased with their visit.

Can you share a little bit more about your trip? What sites did you enjoy the most? Any favorite restaurants or shops? Did you have time for any day trips from Paris?

Does this sound suspiciously like an advert to anyone else?

Yes it does which is why I pressed for a report on what they actually DID in Paris! Last time I accused someone of advertising here all the goody-two shoes crawled out of the woodwork and told me I was being unfair to the OP. It was later "verified" as an ad and the post was removed.

Clearly the poster had a horrible trip. The only thing the entire time worth writing about was the apartment. Not a single restaurant to recommend, nor a single museum that worse worth menioning, or even a sight that was memorable. Oh well, better luck next time, viola.

I think it is obviously an ad. I know some people on here rave about that company, but I think they have advertised on here and other websites before (or solicit people to do it for them). Some of the language in that post is very similar to some of the prior ones, also. I think the owners write the ads and give them to people or suggest the language, or else it is the owners themself.

I, for one was excited to see voila's post and hope it is sincere. I will be renting an apartment from Paris perfect in June and was hoping that the one she mentioned might be mine. Maybe she is just trying to help out!

I'm in marketing and I say it reads like a written ad to me.

Do you have any tips on how to negotiate with the owners to get them to reduce the price for this lovely apartment to $200/night? Would you suggest several pleading emails a day, everyday, for around a year until they relent?

Actually, while I think this is an ad, and I am surprised, Madeleine and Phillipe are very nice and have beautiful apts in Paris and London..I cannot think they asked someone to post such an amateurish advertisement on Fodors.

I did stay in one of their apartments last Spring and loved it and did write a review.
Here, you can see the owners and their apts here:

When we first started hearing of ParisPerfect on this website, there were frequently almost identical posts about those apartments. Nearly all of them were by newly registered posters who posted such raves, nothing else, then disappeared never to be heard from again.

No one is denying that their apartments are nice -- many regular posters have provided us with valid recommendations. But I can't think of any other firm which has had so many similar one time rave posts. Something's fishy.
