Il Paretiao (spelling? check Karenbrown.com...her guides have the correct spelling) is a villa that specializes in equestrian. they can conduct rides for you in the region, I think. Karen Brown is VERY reliable. Have fun. we are going in Nov. and can't wait!

There is a property that rents apartments in Tuscany. It is called the Mugano Horse Farm.
Maybe you could e mail them to find out if they offer this kind of service. Or maybe they would know.
It is an sort of like an agriturismo and I am assuming it has horses instead of olives, but I could be wrong.
I came across the web site travel-italy.com during my research for my upcoming trip. They do have a one day horseback ride in the chianti region, and I believe it leaves from Siena. Don't know too much about this particular company, but they have a number you can call for info.

MC. Did you stay there or just visit? I e mailed them an inquiry for an apartment as they rent for less then a week, which is not the usual in Tuscany. We choose another property, but I was impressed as they sent me a follow up e mail to see if I had decided.
I wondered what the facilites were like.
