Parador de Aigua Blava

Planning a honeymoon at Parador de Aigua Blava at Begur. A little nervous about this not being so romantic , while the scenery looks breathtaking I don't want to end up with twin beds. Anyone been there recently?

Yes, we were there after the new year. For the difference in price, I'd go for one of the four suites on the 3rd floor (top floor). These rooms have been renovated and are excellent.

Just tell the hotel you're in your honeymoon and you want a matrimonial bed , they will understand

Thank you....were you happy with the rest of the stay i.e. meals, staff and rest of the accomodations? Some responses I've heard are that the parador is a bit dated....we are kind of wishing to spoil ourselves. Also do you know about access to the beach?

Yes, the Parador is somewhat dated, but still very nice, very popular and comfortable. The staff is also very accommodating. Their menu is excellent and they have room service, but there are also a number of excellent restaurants in Begur that you may want to consider.

This is one of the few Paradors with a bellhop.

There was nothing about the Parador I didn't like. One of the great points was that we were able to sleep with the door to the balcony open, as well as the curtains (Med side only for the open curtains).

Make sure you join the “Amigos” club before you go. You’ll receive a welcoming drink, and free parking in the garage.
