Palermo Car Rental Location

Hello,

I will be picking up a rental car in Palermo before driving to Enna. Two downtown locations are listed as possible pick-up sites. One is on Via Mariano Stabile, and the other is Via Crispi Francesco.

When I map out the two locations online, they are relatively close to one another. For anyone who has rented a car in Palermo, before, which location do you suggest?

I picked up at Via Mariano Stabile with no problems. They even gave me an automatic, which I didn't pay for but I guess since they knew I was American they could just dump it on me. I wanted it, but they probably didn't.

Thank you for your reponses. I may just go with Via Mariano Stabile as that seems to be the location where others have had first-hand experience.

GAC -- You're right, in my research I have found regular bus schedules to the interior. However, since my ultimate destination is a tiny town (Villarosa) and I plan on exploring the interior for 5-6 days, a personal car seemed the best choice to allow me the freedom to wander at will.

I have been looking for the same information as to which location to pick up my rental car when leaving Palermo and heading east. However, when I emailed Auto Europe, they gave me entirely different locations: Viale Regione Siciliana, 4294 (90100) and Piazza Matteo Boiardo C/O Stazione Ferroviaria (90100). Now, I'm completely confused. Any help appreciated.

It varies by car vendor used by Autoeurope, which varies by the type of car and drop off point. We dropped at the Mariano Stabile office which is just 50 yards off of Crispi and was not hard to find.
