Oyster refund at Heathrow?
We are leaving the UK from Heathrow Terminal 3 and wondered where we go to get a refund on our Oyster cards. We tried to get a refund at Ealing Broadway which is a big station but they said they don't do Oyster Card refunds. This sounded weird as they sell Oyster cards and you can top up there as well. Has anyone does this out at Heathrow? Any problems?
Thanks

and you can use it anytime you come back to London or even loan it to friends who are coming.
You can even print out once home a record of every Tube trip you took - not sure you need the card for this but i understand it is possible.

Thanks everyone. It looks like we'll look for the ticket window once we arrive at Heathrow, we will be travelling by tube but after the odd (in our opinion) response at Ealing Broadway I thought it best to ask here on the forum.
We have been living in the UK for the past 4.5 years and don't plan to come back so can't see the point in keeping the card. We also have money on the card as well as the £3 initial fee and want that back too.
Any other info about refunds at Heathrow is welcome.

Just in case anyone reads this later and wonders about the answer - at Terminal 3 the train ticket windows are behind you as you exit the ticket turnstiles. We got the money plus deposit refunded off one Oyster card but because the other card was not registered and had over £10 on it, they would not refund the money or deposit until we had registered the card. This involved filling in a long form and as we had a plane to catch we didn't do it then but they told us we can apply from another country so will do that when we have time.
