Overnight Train -- Barcelona to Granada

Has anyone ever taken this train? Does it run daily?

According to the current Cook Timetable it only runs Wd, Fri, and Sunday but you do not say when you are traveling...timetables often change in the June/July timeframe.

http://www.renfe.es/

This is the official site for the Spanish rail system. It should tell you exactly what trains are running on what days, and even has an English language option.

I have not taken this train, but will do the reverse journey (Granada-Barcelona) in a couple of weeks via air. My flight (booked on iberia.com) came to something like 33E one-way, which is less thatn the train fare, I believe. Fares change all the time, but unless you *want* to take the train, it's worth checking for your dates of travel.

I am going in August. I just checked Iberia and the fare was $130.

You might want to keep checking, every week or so until your trip. I was seeing fares about what you're quoting, then caught a "window of opportunity" and grabbed it.
