Overlord tours - Normandy?

Hi,

My dh is thinking that the Overlord Tour for the D-Day beaches would work with our schedule for the time we have in Normandy. Anyone else been on a tour w/ this company? Just thought I'd check.

Thanks!
Jenny

It means "to the top." PalenQ is topping the thread for you so it will be in the beginning and more people will see it and hopefully respond.

Forgot to tell you that any response to a thread will bring it to first place in queue. It won't stay there long but will be seen within the first 50 threads.

I don't know anything about this particular tour, but before we went to the D-Day beaches, I had read Stephen Ambrose's book about it. (The title begins with "D-Day," but I don't recall the rest of the title.) My sister was reading the book as we were in the area, and having read the book added a great deal to our enjoyment of the experience.

My brother used this tour company for a tour of the D Day beaches last April. He said that the tour was excellent. He only booked a half day tour because of time constraints but they went back to the beaches again on their own after the tour was over since a half day wasn't enough. The company picks you up and delivers you back to your hotel.

JennyJoline,
I also used the company that the previous poster linked on here and it was great! They give you the option of a full or half day tour and the tour guide we had was fantastic!

The company will pick you up from a loading location or if you tell them your hotel, they will pick you up there.

My friend and I took the full day tour 65 Euro...kinda pricy, but it was well worth it!
Full day consisted of:
Sainte Mere Eglise + Airborne Museum, Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, American Cemetery, Arromanches and the 360° cinema.

It was amazing and our tour guide Bertrand was so great!

Enjoy and if you have any questions, feel free to send me a message!
Jenn
