Ordering Seat Rservation with Ticket
Salve. I am going to be travelling in Italy during June and July, and my travel partner and I want to order all of our train tickets ahead of time. We have been looking at Trenitalia.
We have found the tickets we want, but we're unsure of how to order a seat reservation or if it is even possible to do so through the site.
For example, we plan to take the FRECCIARGENTO to Venice which leaves Roma Termini at 6:50 and arrives at Venezia S. Lucia at 10:35. I don't know what our return time is for this train, and I don't know how to go about making sure we have seats.
Any help people can provide will be very grateful! Thank you!

All the tickets for fast trains come with seats reserved because it's mandatory. Only R trains don't have reserved seats (not possible).
If you want to select which seat on the train, be sure to click that as automatic seat selection is the default.

There seems to be a problem with the English version return button (at least I can't get it to click over). Trenitalia is still adding summer schedules and they have issues with certain thing working in the updates.
On the Italian version, click andata e ritorno. On the first screen on the English version you will see single or single/return, (single only is the default that is already clicked). On the Italian version, you will see andata (single) and andata e ritorno. Select your date for both a times.

Since schedules change over on June 9th, hopefully Trenitalia will get everything working properly by then.

As far as I am aware you just pick the return journey you want...when inputting the details just ensure return is clicked and not one way and it will show you the times for you to select like outgoing journey...

I have selected the return trip, but when I input my leaving and returning time, it only shows me a list with information on when the trail leaves Rome and arrives in Venice. It doesn't show me when the trail leaves Venice and goes back to Rome. This is what I am trying to find.

If you clicked andata/ritorno first (single/return if you can get the English version to work), select your cities/date/times for both, then choose your morning departure train and click continue. You should get a list of your return trains after you click continue for your morning train.
What date are you trying to book?
