Ordering Limoncello...how much do you get?
Okay, I'll confess I love the stuff and unfortunately have not had the pleasure to experience it in Italy...but counting the days.
Soooooo........given that, when you order it how much do you get? Okay, okay, truth be told I'm addicted and I want lots!! Is it the US equivalent to a shot? Pardon my ignorance...have only ever ordered beer or wine in Europe. Thanks.

Order a whole bottle and you can have that. Or order a glass and that is what you will get. There is no standard measurement that all bars adhere to. Maybe you should buy a bottle and keep it in your room to help when withdrawal hits.

Hey....it's not that bad! No standard measurement....hmmm???...so it's a guess to the amount one would receive? I can live with that. And I will have a bottle at some point on the trip...will be in the Sorrento area so I know one will leap into my hands! ;-)

If they follow the typical European shot standard, it's slightly more than half an American shot. Doesn't mean everyone will follow that, of course. Also, cc is a cubic centimeter, which is a milliliter, so 60-90 cc is 60-90 mL.

I plan to try lots of limoncello next week in Sorrento!!!! Has anyone heard of something called creme de limon? A friend of ours said he had that in Sorrento and described it like a dreamsicle only with lemon and a kick! Sounds delightful, but I haven't heard of it or read about it anywhere. Is he pulling my leg?

I love all things lemon and the idea of a good lemon liquer has my interest piqued! ( or however you spell it...peaked...picqued...)
What does Limoncello taste like? Does it just taste like a lemon vodka?
Trader Joes sells both limoncello and limoncello cream (?)...what would I have it with? Do I mix it with anything?
I once had some limoncello pound cake...believe me...I definately felt a bit buzzed! Which is weird since the alcohol should have cooked off during baking...but it was very, very moist...so maybe they poured a little liquor over the cake?

"Ordering Limonello...how much do you get?" As much as you order cherylforeurope! Sorry, just couldn't resist. Just remember it is easy to get ill from drinking to much Limoncello as it is sort of sweet. I have known a few people that didn't this of it as having liquor so to speak and overdid it and really and truly were sick in the middle of the night or the next morning.
