ORD-FCO is this a good price?

I found $564 airfare from Chicago to Rome in February (Fri 9th - Sat 17th), all taxes included.

Would you consider this a good deal? Obviously no one has a crystal ball that they can see the future of airline prices, but I'm thinking that this is a pretty good deal. Thanks for your opinions!

Hi D,

If you think it's a good deal, then make the purchase. BTW, it would be nice to have more information like time of your flight, how many stops, if it makes stops, how long between flights ect.. More Info.

That sounds like a very good deal to me. Before taxes, it's like $400 -- is that right? Those are also good travel dates on the weekend. Sometimes I found $380 (before taxes) fares for that route for winter, but this was always for travel mid-week which can be hard for some people to arrange. Being able to leave on a Friday and return on a Saturday for one day of recovery before going back to work is pretty ideal. I'd buy it, especially if it's on a better airline like United (American Air is my least favorite for coach travel, unless you get the exit row).

One more point, which airlines and where did you find the price?

I found it on Kayak through Orbitz.

Flight is AA 8:05pm-9:45am ORD-LHR and Alitalia 12:15pm-3:45pm LHR-FCO on Friday Feb 9.

Return is Alitalia 9:45am-1:50pm FCO-EWR and AA 4:08-5:44 EWR-ORD on Saturday Feb 17.

IMO those are good, convenient flight times. You might or might not find something better. If those times are what you would like, I think I would take them.
