Opinion on Hotel Choice in Granada?

Hi All!

We have our nonstop flights on Iberia booked from LAX - MAD for our 3-week Sept/Oct trip. I am working on accommodations, train and sight tickets this week.

We are staying in Granada for two nights. We like a hotel in the charming historical center with winding streets, and restaurants, bars and shops. I have read much on this website, narrowed it down to the following and would love any feedback. (Of course, I am always open to this group's suggestions! There is a conference in town later in the week so much is booked!)

I would love feedback from anyone who might have stayed in one of these.

Thanks in advance!

Gosh! So many of the hotels in Granada have poor reviews. And many are booked for early October already.

I booked a room at the Hotel Casa 1800 but am looking at the Hotel Room Mate Leo and NH Collection Victoria. The Victoria doesn't seem to have a refundable rate, which makes me uncomfortable. Sigh ...

We stayed in Room Mate Leo in 2019. The hotel is clean, well priced, with a good breakfast on the roof top. But the street noise at night was terrible (until 4 am on a Friday night), so I can't recommend it.

We stayed in an Air BNB in the center, very near the Granada cathedral and right in the middle of those winding streets, restaurants, bars and shops...and the noise level was terrible. So pick wisely if you're a light sleeper.
