Oops! Arriving Munich October 1st!

Any tips for enjoying Octoberfest? We are staying in Munich two nights.

I think I read it was 3 October.

FYI - it always ends on the first Sunday in October, or on October 3rd (Reunification Day/National Holiday), whichever occurs later.
