One week Itinerary Help: Western Norway Late August

Hi Fodorites!
Planning a trip for four 50-something adults for second half of August 2020, and wish to stay in 1 place that is both beautiful and interesting and also convenient to day trips that will show us even more places that are beautiful and interesting! Looking at Bergen, Alesund, or Lofoten as our base for the week, but open to other ideas. Goal is to see nature, mild hikes, some fjords, perhaps some cultural sites, and have time to absorb and enjoy. Would be flying in either straight from Europe or via Oslo.
Thanks for any help you might have for us!

Choose Bergen as one location and Alesund as a second. From the latter you can take a day trip to Geiranger fjord and a day trip to Bud, which is more coastal.
