Our favorite spot (so far) - Copenhagen! And with one week, you can do several daytrips. I know lots of people might say to see Norway, which is lovely (and I'd like to see more of) - but if you like cities, choose Copenhagen. (Maybe Stockholm is better - we haven't been there - but we loved Copenhagen.)

Hi
It depends a bit on when you want to go and what you are interested in. I come from Stavanger on the south west coast of Norway. In the summer time it is great here but in the winter time I don't think that the city has that much to offer. Well, I have posted a few pictures of my hometown on my homepage www.gardkarlsen.com. Please check out the Kjerag and Preikestolen links if you are into hiking and seeing beautiful mountains/fjords

Thank you for your replies. Other replies are welcome. As an Australian, I am looking for interesting places quite different to Australia, and am especially interested in places that are historically significant, and/or culturally, politically or geographically different.
