One night in Cologne - best choice of reasonably priced hotel?

Yes - we saw the cathedral, walked through the Old Town, walked through the shopping area which was full of people despite no shops being open, and went to Museum Ludwig, which is a great modern/contemporary art museum. Our energy was really flagging, though, due to jet lag, so we packed in the sightseeing about 3:30 PM (after starting around 9:30 AM when we got into town).
My daughter said that Cologne seemed like a mixture of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Edinburgh!

We are also planning on staying in Cologne one night in August. I found that the Sheraton Four Points, also just behind the train station, goes for 4000 Starwood points per night at that time, so while I'd be happy to stay at the same hotel as last time, I'm also happy to stay somewhere for "free", and the Sheraton Four Points has air conditioning.
