Hello!
We are taking the ferry to Venice early on a Wednesday morning and are hesitating about our last night in Croatia.
Rovinj (ferry leaves at 7 am) or Porec (ferry leaves at 7:30 am)?
We will be arriving from Slovenia by car and leaving our rental at AMC offices.
We also want to be walking distance from the ferry.
Any thoughts?

Well, I loved Rovinj so that would be my vote. There was one hotel (name escapes) me in the port area that would be a very easy walk.

Another vote for Rovinj. You could stay at Hotel Adriatic, situated on the central square, and it's only minute away from the ferry.

I agree that Rovinj is lovely. I stayed at the Adriatic, very convenient to the ferry. Be sure to explore the old town and not just the tourist areas. Every alley and cobbled way holds new surprises.

Rovinj is lovely, but the Basilica in Porec is well worth a visit if you have time.

Thanks! We will be in Istria for a whole week before that, so we are planning day trips to Rovinj, Porec, Labin, etc. Yay!

Remember to use a straw for your cappuccino on the ferry.
