I am going to Paris and Florence before this visit so I will be all museum-ed out. I want to enjoy the natural beauty (walk, hike, bike etc) and the city in general.

One day will be perfect for exploring the old town which radiates from the Niederdorffstrasse. Also the Banhoffstrasse offers high end shopping. Fun to look, even if you're not buying. Have a pastry and coffee at Cafe Schober. Buy chocolates at Sprungli. Take a boat ride on the Zurichsee.

Make that "niederdorfstrasse."

If you're really looking for natural beauty, you may want to take a one hour trainride from the airport directly to Lucerne where you have direct access to the Lake Lucerne(Vierwaldstattersee) area. Stay in Lucerne or hop on the lake ferry to Buergenstock where you can take the elevator up the mountain to the Park Hotel.

You can also go to Mt Pilatus, Stanserhorn for breathtaking dramatic hike to view the steep mountains right against the deep blue lake.

A trip to the mountains? Then I'd suggest:
- take train to Arth-Goldau
- take Rigi Bahn to Rigi Kulm station
- Walk down to Rigi Staffel
- take Rigi Bahn down to Vitznau
- take ferry back to Lucerne
- take train to Zürich
