Oktoberfest & Southern Bavaria Itinerary
I'm working on an itinerary for a week long trip to Munich & Southern Bavaria for Oktoberfest.
Here is what I've worked out, tell me if it makes sense, or if I'm missing something obvious etc.
Day 1 - Arrive MUC evening - check in at Hilton - UBahn to Thereisienwiese or stay near hotel
Day 2 - pick up car - visit Dachau - drive Fussen
Day 3 - Explore Fussen
Day 4 - Visit Neuschwanstein & Hohenschwangau - Mittenwald/Karwendelbahn - return Fussen
Day 5 - visit Reutte - to Lindau - stay Lindau
Day 6 - Explore Lindau
Day 7 - Drive Munich - Drop off car - check in hotel - Marienplatz -Thereisienwiese
Day 8 - Visit Viktualienmarkt & have lunch - Thereisienwiese
Day 9 - Fly home am
I'd appreciate opinions and advice!

If you have no reservations for tables at Oktoberfest Hofbrau tent does have stand up tables that you will get served at during evening. If you go around 11 am you can hit several tents and have seats at the tables. The reserved tables are mostly for people after 3 or 4.
Augustiner tent serves great food. Pace yourself.
