Turkish food in Munich

I have heard that there is a large Turkish population in Munich and, therefore, many Turkish food joints. We enjoyed Turkish food (particularly donair) when we were in Turkey. Is Turkish food easily available in or near city center (either a food stall or formal dining options)?

Not at all, my husband and I love döner too. The only thing I can add is, don't try the currywurst. I love curry and it was disgusting. Basically, ketchup with curry powder in it. ewww.

Those currywursts are great! The best snack you can get with lots of Ketchup. Turkish restaurants are all over the Hauptbahnhof area, but since those döners mainly come from Berlin and during the last scandal were found to some extent have been made from "Gammelfleisch", quite a few people are suspicious. May not be justified anymore, but..
