Oberammegau & Mittenwald in Germany by train?
Hi - do both of these places have train stations? I looked at www.bahn.de and they appear to have stations, but I've also read that sometimes this site will list the town name as if it has a station, but truly doesn't. We would be traveling from Munich.

Oberammergau definitely has a rail station (it is at the very end of a branch line). Taking the train from Munich you will have to change in Murnau which is VERY easy to do; there are only a couple of platforms. The trip from Murnau to Oberammergau is quite scenic.

gypsy-
Depends on what you want to so/see. You might need to leave pretty early in the morning to see both Mittenwald and Oberammergau by train. Have the train station print you up an itinerary for your trip with the possible times and connections and see if that gives you enough time to do what you want. You could stay in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and use that as a base.
